Queenstown golf holidays are always a hit with travellers. People cherish this small-but-mighty New Zealand resort town because of its diverse experiences, scenic wonders, and incredible vibes. Queenstown is regularly rated as one of the friendliest cities in the world. Conde Nast magazine continues to rank it among the top 10, and with very good reason too.

The town plays host to some of the globe’s best outdoor and thrill-seeking exploits. Based in the majestic mountain ranges of The Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu, the town is a year-round buzz of adventure, adrenaline and activity.

Staggering beauty and heart-pumping thrills await in the resort town of Queenstown, which is also known for its Hobbits—much of the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed in the area. Outdoor enthusiasts flock to Queenstown for the kayaking, bungee jumping, jet boating, white-water rafting, golf, hiking and skiing. More mild-mannered adventurers can take a quiet cruise through nearby Milford Sound, part of the Fiordland National Park World Heritage area, or sample South Island pinot noir from one of the region’s 75 wineries.

What’s less well-known is that Queenstown offers some of the best restaurants and bars in New Zealand.  It’d be practically criminal not to grab a burger at Fergburger, and with burger names such as ‘Chief Wiggam’, who could resist? Madame Woo serves tasty and authentic Malaysian Hawker food, or you can try the award-winning rack of lamb at Roaring Megs Restaurant.

Queenstown is the premier golfing destination in New Zealand.

Day Trips

Milford Sound
The pristine Milford Sound is part of the World Heritage Fiordland National Park, in the south west of the South Island, and is famed for its remote atmosphere and rugged beauty.
It’s not hard to imagine why writer Rudyard Kipling called Milford Sound the ‘eighth wonder of the world’, Milford Sound was carved by glaciers during the ice ages. It is New Zealand’s best-known fiord and the only one that can be reached by road. Maori are believed to have discovered Milford Sound more than 1,000 years ago. Milford Sound is breath-taking in any weather. Cliffs rise high into the air from the dark waters, mountain peaks scrape the sky and waterfalls cascade downwards, some as high as 1000 metres. When it rains in Milford Sound (and it often does) those waterfalls multiply with magnificent effect. Take a day trip to Milford Sound and experience one of New Zealand’s must-do attractions.
